TWO-PART TOUR
PORTLAND + SCAPPOOSE, OR | APRIL 2017
The Two-Parter Tour started at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI). There we were given a guided tour of the last diesel submarine that was commissioned, the Blueback, in 1959. We then regrouped for the second part of the tour, which was a 55-mile drive through St. Johns and out to the country near the town of Scappoose. We then traveled the dike road and eventually returned to Portland, where we had dinner at Elmer’s Restaurant. It was finished up with everyone’s favorite dessert--ice cream with toppings.
