53rd Annual Portland Swap Meet

Great cars, great parts, old car friends, and…rain. Unusually inclement weather hit the swap meet, but old car fans certainly were not deterred from searching for that needed part or interesting car. There were breaks in the rain and canopies helped when it did drizzle. The acres of indoor vendors were also doing just fine as well.

Overall, the meet went off smoothly. Our Columbia River Region of the VCCA fulfilled our staffing functions directing traffic, helping with parts pickup and all the other tasks necessary to pull off an event of this scale. We also staffed our club booth and enjoyed sharing information on joining our VCCA regional group. Some of our members did double duty and had their own spaces for sale of old car parts and cars.

Our members also participate in the annual planning, with focus now on the 2018 Portland Swap Meet! A special acknowledgement of Jim Schoffstoll and Bruce DeFord, Jr. for their hard work and leadership on the meet year round.
