PONY TOUR

OREGON CITY, OR | MAY 2017

The Pony Tour started at the End of Oregon Trail Center in Oregon City, with a brief lecture by historian Dick Etulain on the key dates and events of early Oregon. Our vintage Chevys then traversed many places that were an integral part of the founding of the Oregon Territory in the mid-1800’s--the Abernethy land claim, Barlow Road, and Cayuse Indian burial sites were all include in the drive on a warm Saturday morning. Dave Gowan prepared a detailed booklet on the dates and biographies of several early Oregon pioneers in the Oregon.
