Something A Bit Different Tour
NW portland, OR | NovemBER 2019
Every year, the club has a special meeting to plan for next years tours. This year is was “a bit different!” Cindi Wolfe planned a combination lunch, meeting, and a great activity all rolled into one. The tour started in West Portland and wound its way on city streets up the hills to the well-known Skyline Restaurant. The restaurant is famous for their monster burgers, and no one left lunch hungry! The parking lot of the restaurant is at a very busy intersection and provided a great location for a mini-car show.
After lunch it was off to the Comedy Sportz Club (and that’s not a misspelling). The improv comedy club did a really funny car themed program with the help of some club members. Our Ellie provided important sound effects. After the improv session, a planning discussion ensued with most of the blank spaces filled in for monthly tours in 2020. After the show the cast of the comedy club came out to inspect our cars. Patrick Short, manager of the group, especially appreciated Bruce Benadom’s 1957 Chev. It was definitely something a bit different.
