Gorge Views, Watching Time, Neon Lights
Tour Leaders: Don & Betty Shannon
Meet at east side of Gresham/Troutdale (place to-be-determined) at 8:30 am (early birds welcome at 8am; we will be ready) and sharing refreshing goodies.
We will leave at 9:00 am and spend the morning enjoying a scenic drive east on I-84 through Hood River to Mosier. At Mosier we will leave I-84, take a short scenic loop and return to Hwy 30 east to Rowena Crest Viewpoint. This is one of the most spectacular views in the Gorge and the drive is unbeatable. We will continue east via Hwy 30 to The Dalles where we will visit The National Neon Sign Museum (located in a 1910 Colonial-style former Elks Temple). Lunch will be served in a private room at Clock Tower Ales (located in a 19th century courthouse). After lunch we will tour the Fort Dalles Museum.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: June 14
