CANCELED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS
We will be visiting Camp Withycombe on Armed Forces Day when they have a Living History Day. Here we will see two historic 1911 buildings filled with exhibits about Oregon and Camp Withycombe’s military history. We will also be seeing a display of military vehicles and artillery pieces and booths with displays of military equipment with living history interpreters.
In order to enter Camp Withycombe, a driver’s license or other government issued picture ID is required for everyone. From there we will be driving to Willamette National Cemetery, where we will make a loop through the cemetery. Finally, we will take a drive to end up at Sayler’s Old Country Kitchen for dinner in their banquet room. We will provide water and an energy bar at the start of the tour. There are a couple of food booths if you care to purchase something at Camp Withycombe and can’t wait for dinner time.
