Join us on Saturday, December 2, for Dinner and a Show. 

This Year’s December tour returns to the Alpenrose Dairy Opera House for the continuation of their Christmas at Home During WWII saga when families were apart with the men and women in the services overseas fighting and those at home manning the shipyards, rolling bandages, and scraping along as best they could under the rationing program devised to support the troops at war while maintaining equitable rations and supplies to families at home. Everyone was urged to tighten their belts and sacrifice here to help support those abroad. 

This radio play follows last year’s (1941), during another Christmas time while the men were away at war in 1942. The doors will open at 7 p.m. with the play beginning at 7:30 p.m. 

The tour will begin with a meet-up at Casa Colima at 6319 SW Capitol Hwy, Portland at 5 p.m. There you will enjoy a generous Mexican all-you-can-eat dinner buffet. Serving will begin at 5:30. Take time to visit and find a seat prior to that time. We will leave Casa Colima at 6:45 p.m. and drive the short distance to the Alpenrose Dairy Opera House, find parking, and get settled in our seats. If you were at last year’s December tour, you’ll realize this is much the same plan as last year.
