APPLE CORE TOUR
HOOD RIVER, OR | SEPTEMBER 2017
The Apple tour is a very special event for the club. We tour from Troutdale to the Ing family orchard just outside of Hood River. The Ing family has a long association with the Columbia River region and their hospitality and friendship is much appreciated! We drove up the Columbia gorge on the Washington side to avoid the tragic wildfires on the Oregon side. The smoke had dissipated and the sky was blue.
At the orchard we picked apples, pears and grapes to take back with us. Also on the “menu” was a great lunch prepared by the Ings, and time for checking out the Ing’s Chevrolet collection. Thank you Ings for a wonderful day in the orchard country of Hood River!
